Part of the Mayr therapy is the excretion of diverse toxins that have accumulated over time. These toxins may include substances from the environment as well as substances produced by the body itself which are toxic to start with or become toxic at a certain level. Here are just a few examples.

  • Toxins from the environment: Heavy metals, pesticides, drug residues, chemical household substances
  • Toxins produced inside the body: Fermentative and putrefactive toxins, AGEs, (oxidised) LDL cholesterol, uric acid, ammonia, lactate
  • Substances produced inside the body that will be toxic if present in large amounts: Insulin, amyloid, inflammatory mediators such as interleukin 6, TNF- alpha, substance P, histamine, zonulin, kynurenine
