Fasting according to Mayr means to give the intestine a rest with easily digestible foods and a simple diet to allow it to concentrate on its actual task, the detoxication of the body.

The individually adjusted bland diet is usually hypocaloric. As a fasting method, it has a positive effect on the health. The reduction of carbohydrates lowers the insulin level and at the same time many health risks related to an insulin resistance with hyperinsulinemia. Proper chewing and insalviating is easier on the digestive tract. It promotes the generation of bacteria beneficial for defence and regeneration functions of the intestinal mucosa.

Please take approx. 1 to 2 cups of base broth from 11:00 to 12:00.

Stage 1: Tea fasting

Breakfast

1 small pot of herbal tea with a few drops of lemon or orange juice,

1 spelt roll (1 x buckwheat roll, 3 x rice cakes, 2 x Wasa breads)

Lunch

2-3 cups of herbal tea with a few drops of lemon or orange juice,

1 spelt roll (1 x buckwheat roll, 3 x rice cakes, 2 x Wasa breads)

Supper

2-3 cups of herbal tea with a few drops of lemon or orange juice, or base broth,

2 slices of Wasa bread or 3 rice cakes

honey at your pleasure

Stage 2: Traditional Mayr diet

Breakfast

125 g goat yoghurt,
1 spelt roll (2 x buckwheat rolls, 3 x rice cakes, 2 x Wasa breads)

Lunch

125 g goat yoghurt,
1 spelt roll (2 x buckwheat rolls, 3 x rice cakes, 2 x Wasa breads)

Supper

2-3 cups of herbal tea with a few drops of lemon or orange juice, or base broth,

2 slices of Wasa bread or 3 rice cakes

honey at your pleasure

Stage 3: Traditional OCÉANO-Mayr-diet with added proteins and base soup

Breakfast

125 g goat yoghurt,

1 spelt roll (2 x buckwheat rolls, 3 x rice cakes, 2 x Wasa breads)

1 small pot of tea to spoon

or, if prescribed by the physician, 150 g hot cereals (oats, rice, millet flakes) + 1 rice cake

Lunch

Mayr base soup to spoon

50 g protein or base supplements

bread at your choice

Supper

2-3 cups of herbal tea with a few drops of lemon or orange juice

honey or base broth or 1 cup of base soup at your pleasure

2 slices of Wasa bread or 3 rice cakes, with 50 g supplements

Stage 4: Modern OCÉANO-Mayr-diet– food combining

Breakfast

125 g goat yoghurt,

1 spelt roll (or 3 x rice cakes, 2 x Wasa breads, 1x buckwheat roll) or 150 g hot cereal + 1 rice cake

Lunch

Vegetables and proteins (approx. 120 g fish, poultry, etc.), and, if described by the physician: Avocado or oil

Supper

1–2 cups of Mayr base soup or 2–3 cups of base broth

in addition to 50 g proteins or base supplements

2 slices of Wasa bread or 3 rice cakes, with oil or avocado

Stage 4.1: Modern OCÉANO-Mayr-diet

The same as stage 4, but with a different lunch.

Vegetables and carbohydrates alternated daily with vegetables and proteins.

Stage 5: Modern OCÉANO-Mayr-diet– bland diet with soup

Breakfast

125 g goat yoghurt,

1 spelt roll (or 3 x rice cakes, 2 x Wasa breads, 1x buckwheat roll) or 150 g hot cereal

1x rice cake, papaya and almond purée etc.

Lunch

1 cup of Mayr base soup to spoon, vegetables and proteins (approx. 120 g fish, poultry, etc.)

Carbohydrates, with oil and avocado

Supper

1–2 cups of Mayr base soup or 2–3 cups of base broth

with 70 g protein and base supplements (may also consist of two kinds)

2 slices of Wasa bread or 3 rice cakes
